Boy, 17, Found Shot to Death in a San Pedro Park
The body of a 17-year-old boy was found lying in a San Pedro park early Saturday morning with a gunshot wound to the head.
The body was found about 1:45 a.m. lying in Friendship Park across from the 1900 block of Cumbre Drive in San Pedro. Initial indications were that the death was gang-related, Harbor Division Sgt. Tony Rosa said.
Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau were called in to investigate the shooting, Rosa said.
