Rosary 3, Bishop Amat 1--Wendy Herb had 21 kills and 14 blocks for visiting Rosary (9-5, 3-4) in a 11-15, 15-11, 15-9, 15-6 victory.

In the Century League:

El Modena 3, Villa Park 2--Marni Hichborn had 19 kills and eight blocks and Melizza Benitez had 37 assists and nine aces as visiting El Modena (14-0, 8-0) won, 9-15, 15-3, 13-15, 15-5, 15-12.

In the Sea View League:

Newport Harbor 3, Saddleback 0--Tamara O’Nan had 10 kills to lead visiting Newport Harbor (12-4, 6-2) to a 15-2, 15-0, 15-2 victory.

In the Empire League:

Cypress 3, Los Alamitos 2--Sophomore middle blocker Heather Lowe had 27 kills and four aces to lead visiting Cypress (11-3, 8-0) to a 15-7, 12-15, 15-13, 12-15, 15-12 victory, which clinched for the Centurions at least a tie for the league championship.

Loara 3, Katella 0--Tracy Titus had eight kills and six blocks for host Loara (9-5, 4-4) in a 15-3, 15-1, 15-8 sweep.

In Freeway League girls’ volleyball:

Sonora 3, Buena Park 0--Casie Lozano had 17 kills and Cindy Huffman had 16 kills to lead host Sonora (17-6, 6-2) to a 15-8, 15-10, 16-14.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 3, Bolsa Grande 0--Carly Norton had seven kills and seven aces and host La Quinta (11-3, 9-3) won, 15-10, 15-5, 15-5.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 3, Brea-Olinda 1--Amy Tamblyn had 19 kills and five blocks for host Valencia (13-1, 8-0) in a 15-11, 10-15, 15-13, 16-14 victory.

In the Sea View League:

University 3, Woodbridge 1--Shelby Samuelson had 10 kills and visiting University (8-4, 2-6) won, 16-14, 8-15, 16-14, 15-8.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 3, Marina 2--Robin Smith had 13 kills and 14 blocks to lead unranked Edison (10-5, 8-3) to a 15-6, 13-15, 15-6, 7-15, 18-16 upset of No. 6 Marina (9-1) at Marina.
