OUT OF STEPFORD
As a product of two graduate writing programs who’s now taking workshops at UCLA, I read “The Stepford Writers” with great interest.
While Altacruise confirms many of my worst fears about the contemporary writing scene, I am left with one question: If the Stepfords are in charge, not only of creative-writing departments but of the literary magazines so often found under their aegis, where is one who doesn’t fit the mold going to publish his or her work?
