Caltrans Issues Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Compton: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Main Street to Acacia Avenue; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday; marker repair.

2. Long Beach: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Acacia Avenue to Cherry Avenue; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; marker repair.

3. Long Beach/Bellflower: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Cherry Avenue to the San Gabriel River Freeway (605) junction; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; marker repair.

4. North Long Beach: Connector road from the westbound Artesia Freeway (91) to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. today; bridge repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

5. Commerce: Northbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Washington Boulevard to 3rd Street, plus the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to the eastbound and westbound Pomona Freeway (60), the Washington Boulevard on-ramp and the Olympic Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon Saturday; marker repair.

6. East Los Angeles: Connector road from the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) to the eastbound Pomona Freeway (60); 6 a.m. to noon Saturday; marker repair.

7. East Los Angeles: Southbound off-ramp for Whittier and Olympic boulevards; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; guardrail repair.

8. Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 lane from Alondra Boulevard to Wardlow Road; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; raised markers.

9. South Gate: Northbound on-ramp from westbound Firestone Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; drain cleaning.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

10. Monterey Park: Eastbound No. 5 and 6 lanes from the Long Beach Freeway (710) and Pomona Freeway (60) junction to Findlay Avenue, plus the Atlantic Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon Saturday; marker repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

11. Downey/Norwalk: Southbound No. 1 lane from Lakewood Boulevard to Artesia Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; sweeping.

12. East Los Angeles: Northbound No. 1 lane from the Long Beach Freeway (710) junction to Indiana Street; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; sweeping.

13. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Valley View Avenue, plus the Valley View off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail and fence repair.

14. La Mirada/Norwalk: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

15. Various Cities: Northbound No. 1 lane from Artesia Boulevard to the Long Beach Freeway (710) junction; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; sweeping.

16. Various Cities: Southbound No. 1 lane from Indiana Street to Lakewood Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; sweeping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (103)

17. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; bridge repair.
