BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : Felix Comes Off the Disabled List

Junior Felix was activated off the disabled list and played right field, his first appearance since June 19 and his first start at home since May 26. Felix took the roster spot of infielder Bobby Rose, who went on the disabled list because of soreness in his right shoulder.

Fernando Valenzuela, pitching for triple-A Edmonton, gave up nine runs on eight hits in one inning-plus against Calgary. Valenzuela, making his sixth start at the triple-A level, faced 13 batters overall and failed to record an out in the second inning.
