Bobby Bonilla’s scheduled meeting with Whitey Herzog, Angel senior vice president, was postponed because Bonilla’s agent, Dennis Gilbert, was involved in an unexpectedly long trial in Montgomery, Ala.

The meeting is scheduled for this morning at 9 at Anaheim Stadium.

Bonilla was with Gilbert at the trial at which Oakland A’s outfielder Jose Canseco was found not to have defrauded promoters of a baseball card show. However, Gilbert’s firm, the Beverly Hills Sports Council, was ordered to pay the promoter, Jim Pitts, $207,000 when the jury said the business violated a oral agreement for Canseco to sign autographs.
