Say It Isn’t So: Madonna’s managers are taking steps to silence the widely circulated rumor that the superstar is HIV positive. For the last few weeks, it has been increasingly whispered that Madonna was expected to make an announcement to that effect. On Thursday, her representatives issued a statement saying “these rumors are completely unfounded and untrue. . . . Her management is investigating the origin of these rumors and is preparing to take appropriate legal action.”
