Granada Hills Slaying Victim Is Identified
A 58-year-old Granada Hills woman, who was found bludgeoned to death in her home, was identified as Ellen Holoran, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
A neighbor called police to Holoran’s home Wednesday evening because she had not seen the woman for a few days, Lt. Kyle Jackson said. Holoran lived alone in the house in the 16900 block of Minnehaha Street.
Holoran was beaten about the upper body with a blunt object, Jackson said. Police discovered the body about 5 p.m. and there was no indication of forced entry. It was unclear when Holoran died. An autopsy was pending.
Police do not have a motive for the killing, Jackson said.
