USF Women Turn Away USD’s Rally
The University of San Diego women’s basketball team rallied but could not overtake the University of San Francisco in a 58-52 loss Thursday at the USD Sports Center.
The defeat dropped the Toreras to 9-15 and 4-8 in the West Coast Conference, tied with Gonzaga for seventh place. The loss eliminated USD from contention for the WCC Tournament, which takes the top four teams. USF pulled into a tie for the WCC lead with Portland at 9-3.
