MOORPARK : Members Sought for Schools Task Force
Moorpark residents interested in reviewing the school district’s busing program and other educational issues are invited to apply for vacancies on a district task force called the Committee for Effective Schools.
The board of the Moorpark Unified School District is seeking 12 district staff members and 10 parents and other residents representative of the city’s various ethnic groups and neighborhoods to sit on the committee.
The committee is expected to meet twice a month from September, 1992, through March, 1993. In addition to the district’s busing program, the committee will review the current grade configuration in Moorpark’s elementary schools and the possibility for setting up a magnet school.
Applications are available at the district office at 30 Flory Ave and will be accepted until June 15.
