CLIPBOARD: America West, American Top Airline Performance

America West and American Airlines had the best overall performance at John Wayne Airport during the first six months of 1992. Both accomplished 91% of their combined departures and arrivals within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Northwest Airlines virtually matched them, with a 90% rate.

The 91% marks were achieved despite the fact America West (27%) and American (24%) between them accounted for half of all commercial flights. Here’s how the eight airlines serving John Wayne compared:
