THANKS, ANAHEIM: Two former Angels helped the Blue Jays make it this far. . . . Designated hitter Dave Winfield, signed last winter after the Angels declined to pick up his option, batted .290 with 26 home runs and 108 RBIs during the regular season. Center fielder Devon White, traded after the 1990 season, batted .248 with 17 home runs and 60 RBIs. Among players the Angels kept, none batted higher than .286, hit more than 12 homers or drove in more than 72 runs.
