WESTCHESTER : Employee Fatally Shot in Robbery Attempt at Store

A discount store employee was shot to death during an apparent robbery attempt in the Westchester area of Los Angeles by three suspects wearing masks, police said Monday.
The unidentified employee of the Ninety Nine Cents Only store in the 6800 block of La Tijera Boulevard died about 9 p.m. Sunday night, police said.
Police said they had not determined if the robbers escaped with cash from the store.
