Alaska Airlines Imposes New Work Rules: The carrier imposed the rules on its flight attendants after labor negotiations between both groups collapsed late last week. The new rules include a 3% pay raise, employee contributions for health benefits and a reduction in the company contribution to the flight attendants’ pension plan. A spokeswoman for the Assn. of Flight Attendants said the new rules had been expected, and the group is still threatening to disrupt service at the Seattle-based carrier.
