Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Commuters’ Daughters to Ride Free
In recognition of “Take Our Daughters to Work Day,” Metrolink will allow the daughters of its rail commuters to ride along for free Thursday.
Metrolink officials said they will provide the free trips to encourage Metrolink riders to participate in the nationwide program, which was organized to give young women a look at adult workplaces.
In connection with the program, Metrolink will allow one daughter, 18 years old or younger, to ride the train for free Thursday when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Metrolink carries about 18,000 passengers a day along five Southern California routes.
