ORANGE : Course in Boating Skills, Safety Slated
The Rancho Santiago College District will offer a boating skills and safety class Thursdays from Sept. 1 through Dec. 1, excluding Thanksgiving.
The class will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. in Room 501 of El Modena High School. The campus is at 3920 Spring St., said college district spokesman Dale Ruhe.
The fee for the seminar is $40, and a textbook and study guide will be available at the first class for an additional $25, he said.
The course will cover rules, legal requirements, weather, boat handling, navigational aides and other topics. For more information, call (714) 564-6220.
