In other Excalibur tournament games:

Marina 1, Dana Hills 0--Kristen Palmer scored on a penalty kick late in the second half to send top-ranked Marina into the quarterfinals against Irvine today at noon. Marina forward Michelle Wilson was taken down in the box to set up Palmer’s kick.

In the first round, Cassie Campbell scored four goals as the Vikings beat Magnolia, 10-1. Marina extended its unbeaten streak to 43 games.

Esperanza 5, Chino 0--Chris Gehrls posted her fifth shutout of the season and Irene Morales scored two goals to lead No. 3 Esperanza (8-1-2) in the first round.

Los Alamitos 2, Glendora St. Lucy’s 1--Liz Willemse tied the scored on a penalty kick to open the second half, then scored the game-winner with 12 minutes left for second-ranked Los Alamitos (8-0-1).

Trabuco Hills 4, Ventura Buena 3--Trailing, 1-0, at halftime, No. 6 Trabuco Hills scored four goals in the second half to advance to the round of 16. The Mustangs play Newport Harbor today at 9 a.m.

Santa Margarita 2, Chino Don Lugo 1--No. 4 Santa Margarita scored the winning goal on a deflection off of a Don Lugo defender in the second half. The Eagles, who beat Mission Viejo, 1-0, in the first round, play San Diego Valhalla in the quarterfinals today at noon.

San Diego Valhalla 0, Capistrano Valley 0 (Valhalla advances on penalty kicks)--Valhalla won the shootout, 5-3.

Edison 3, University 0--Laura Lamb, Michelle Bricks and Loree Tamanaha each scored for Edison in a consolation game.

In the Ocean View tournament:

El Toro 3, Walnut 0--El Toro goalies Heather Lindstrom and Melody Derloshon combined for five saves in the pool-play victory. The Chargers (5-3-3) also defeated Pacifica, 2-1. Mandi Lashmett and Melissa Dipple each scored goals.

El Toro plays Mater Dei in the quarterfinals today at 11 a.m.

Mater Dei 1, Upland 0--Trisha Steiner scored early in the first half and Mater Dei (5-4-2) held on to advance to the quarterfinals. Mater Dei beat Lakewood, 4-0, also Tuesday. Trisha Steiner had two goals.
