THE PREPS : COLLEGE SIGNINGS : Eagle Lineman Glover to Attend St. Mary’s

Rik Glover of Santa Margarita High has signed a letter of intent to attend St. Mary’s, Eagle Coach Jim Hartigan said. Glover, a 6-foot, 196-pound defensive lineman, earned first-team All-Sea View League honors.

Esperanza’s Kristy Kierulff and Laura Echolds signed letters of intent to play volleyball, Aztec Coach Kurt Kersten said.

Kierulff, a 5-9 outside hitter who is a two-sport standout, signed with Long Beach State. She was an All-Sunset League selection in volleyball and also was a State high jump champion in her junior and freshman seasons.

Echolds, a 6-foot middle blocker who was an all-league selection, signed with Santa Clara.
