In another Sunset League game:
Marina 7, Esperanza 2--Faith Fuata doubled, tripled, homered and drove in three runs as No. 3 Marina (18-5, 8-1) clinched first place.
In the Century League:
Foothill 11, Santa Ana Valley 0 (6)--No. 2 Foothill (22-2, 8-1) won its fifth straight league title.
Canyon 3, Orange 2--Veronica Lopez’s two-run homer gave Canyon (15-11, 6-3) dropped Orange (11-10, 5-4) into third place.
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 6, Kennedy 3--No. 9 El Dorado (16-8, 7-2) upended No. 5 Kennedy (17-8, 8-1) with a five-run sixth, including Jenny Miskof’s two RBIs. Lisa Pitt homered for Kennedy.
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 4, Sonora 0--Angie Fancuberta (15-8) stretched her scoreless streak to 51 innings as No. 10 Fullerton (18-7, 8-1) moved alone into first place.
La Habra 3, Sunny Hills 0--Cristy Turner’s three-hitter dropped Sunny Hills (8-10, 7-2) into second place. La Habra is 17-7, 6-3.
In the Garden Grove League:
Bolsa Grande 10, Los Amigos 0 (5, mercy)--Mary Petry’s no-hitter paced Bolsa Grande (13-8, 6-5).
In the Orange League:
Valencia 3, Magnolia 2--Carrie Ritchey’s two-run triple and Kathleen Cunningham’s RBI helped Valencia (11-13, 5-4) move into a tie for second. Magnolia (14-8-1, 6-3) is tied for first.
Western 2, Savanna 1 (10)--Kelly Humphries’ suicide bunt scored Adrienne Ratajczak with the winning run for Western (13-11, 6-3). Humphries had both RBIs. Savanna is 15-7, 5-4.
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 10, Corona del Mar 0--Amy Young’s one-hitter with 10 strikeouts paced Irvine (16-8, 8-1).
Woodbridge 3, El Toro 1--Christy Robitaille’s two-hitter and Lisa Weaver’s three RBIs helped Woodbridge (18-9, 7-2) bump El Toro (16-13, 6-3) into third place.
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 9, Mission Viejo 0--Colleen Boddy pitched a two-hitter for No. 4 Mater Dei (22-4, 8-1).
