THE REGION : 5 Elementary Schools Win Statewide Honors
Five San Gabriel Valley elementary schools recently received 1995 California Distinguished School awards, which honor elementary and secondary schools for successful teaching, learning and exceptionally strong parent and community involvement.
Victor F. Hodge Elementary in the Azusa Unified School District, Andrew Jackson Elementary in the Pasadena Unified School District, Vejar Elementary in the Pomona Unified School District, Rorimer Elementary in the Rowland Unified School District and Cloverly Elementary in the Temple City Unified School District were among the 211 elementary schools chosen from 5,000 elementary schools statewide.
