Company Town : Stern Named to VP Post at New Line

New Line Productions named former Hollywood Pictures executive Jay Stern vice president of production.

Stern was vice president of production at Hollywood, part of Walt Disney Co., where he served as liaison to Interscope Pictures and Hawn-Sylbert Productions.

Separately, New Line promoted Mark Ordesky to executive vice president of acquisitions and co-productions.

* Lisa Gibbons has joined Turner Pictures Worldwide Distribution Inc. as vice president of home entertainment distribution.

* Annie Challis was named vice president of the management division at Stiefel-Phillips Entertainment.

* Hemdale Home Video announced the appointment of Pat McDonough as vice president of sales.

* Kim Hatamiya has been named senior vice president and general manager of the Fox Latin American Channel.

* The law firm of Baker & Hostetler, Counselors-at-Law, announced that Glen A. Smith has joined the firm as a counsel in its Los Angeles office.

* Eugene Grady has been promoted to vice president of manufacturing operations and Colleen Benn has been named vice president of videodisc products for the MCA Home Entertainment Group.
