OAK PARK : Nominees Sought for Golden Acorn Award

Share

The Community Foundation for Oak Park is seeking nominations for its Golden Acorn Award.

The award, which honors outstanding community service, has not been given for six years because of the selection committee’s strict criteria, said David Ross, foundation president.

“Of the nominations we’ve received in recent years, none of them have met our criteria,” Ross said.

To qualify, nominees must have an active role in several community organizations that benefit Oak Park.

“Many consider this the highest award you can receive in this community,” Ross said.

The selection committee is not accepting self-nominations. To nominate an Oak Park resident, send a letter to the Community Foundation for Oak Park, P.O. Box 291, Agoura 91301.
