CBS announced Tuesday that Angela Lansbury’s “Murder, She Wrote,” the longest-running detective drama in the history of television, will broadcast its final episode May 19. The series, which will air its last four new episodes on consecutive Sundays starting April 28, will have broadcast 264 original episodes in its 12 seasons. . . . Sixteen of actress Janet Leigh’s films, including “Manchurian Candidate,” “Psycho” and “Bye, Bye Birdie,” will be screened at the new AMC Promenade 16 Theatres in Woodland Hills tonight at 7:30 p.m. The event includes an AMC Theatres Lifetime Achievement Salute to Leigh, who will personally introduce each film. . . . Cable sports network ESPN led the competition with 31 nods in the 17th annual Sports Emmy Awards nominations announced Tuesday. NBC came in second with 24, followed by Fox with 17, ABC with 13 and HBO with 12. The awards, honoring accomplishments in television sports broadcasting in 27 categories, will be held in New York on April 22. . . . The woman accused of repeatedly trespassing on David Letterman’s property is in trouble again. Margaret Ray, 43, was arrested Monday after security guards allegedly caught her stealing $50 worth of groceries from a Connecticut store. Police said she claimed to be a Secret Service agent, code name “Poobah.”
