Pot-Bellied Pig Given Reprieve Till December

Well, at least until a trial in December on whether a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig can be kept in the city.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge Monday denied a request from La Puente for a preliminary injunction to kick Montana, a 5-year resident, out of town immediately.
Judge Madeleine I. Flier’s decision was greeted by squeals of delight from Michele Walker, the owner, and supporters of the 80-pound pig that is accused by some City Council members of giving the city a barnyard image.
