Trent Reznor is working with director David Lynch on assembling a soundtrack album for Lynch’s “Lost Highway,” with a new Nine Inch Nails track set to be included. Reznor, who won acclaim for a similar role with Oliver Stone’s “Natural Born Killers,” will release the album on his own Nothing Records in November, though the film won’t be in theaters until February. . . .

Pennsylvania’s Live is finishing mixing its fourth album in New York, with an early ’97 release planned and a world tour to follow. . . . Alison Krauss is working on an album with her band, Union Station, for February release.
