Question Is, Why Aluminum for Beavers?

Share

Oregon State has the missing section of its goal post back--or at least most of it.

Students reportedly sold off four-inch sections of the 30-foot aluminum upright that was torn off after the Beavers ended their 15-game losing streak Saturday with a 26-12 victory over Stanford at Corvallis.

About eight feet of the 30-foot post was missing when state police found it Saturday night at a party at a Corvallis residence.

The postgame celebration had its other casualties as well. At least one student was bloodied and several fell off the goal post as the crowd attempted to knock down the upright.
