Nature Is Big Shot at Irvine Imax Festival

See life-size whales without the smell, during the Big Imax Film Festival, a monthlong affair starting Friday at the Edwards 21 Megaplex.

All nine of the fest’s films will be shown daily in 2-D or 3-D on the theater’s 6 1/2-story-tall Imax screen. All but “Into the Deep,” “L5: First City in Space” and “The Living Sea” are Orange County premieres.
