‘Read Me a Story’ a Pro-Literacy Event
“ER’s” Anthony Edwards, the cast of CBS’ “The Promised Land” and storybook characters including Peter Pan, Babar, Curious George and Little Red Riding Hood will participate in “Read Me a Story,” a pro-literacy holiday celebration Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. in Beverly Hills.
The event will be held in the 200 block of Rodeo Drive, which will be closed to cars. Events include celebrity story readings, a musical show, caroling and a silent auction of Rodeo Drive merchandise.
The event is part of Visa’s “Read Me a Story” program, through which the credit card company will make donations to literacy groups for every charge made on Visa credit cards from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31.
