Clip and save: Coach Harry Burns, whose Fillmore boys’ basketball teams were 14-43 in his three previous seasons, flatly predicts that the Flashes will win the Tri-Valley League title this season.
“The road to the title leads through our gym,” Burns said. “And the other coaches know it, because we’ve been scouted every game. No one used to give us any respect but Oak Park, Carpinteria, Santa Paula, they’ve all been there this year.”
