Bank Robber Escapes With Bag of Money
Authorities were searching Tuesday night for a bank robber who ordered a Wells Fargo employee to fill a plastic grocery bag with cash.
The man passed a note and the plastic bag to a teller about 4:10 p.m. at the Wells Fargo branch at 26151 La Paz Road, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Paddock.
Witnesses described the man as Asian, cleanshaven, between 25 and 30, about 5 foot-11 and 215 pounds, Paddock said. He was wearing a black and blue warmup suit, black and white tennis shoes, and a black and yellow baseball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff’s investigators at (714) 647-7000.
