Bullfrogs Lose 3-Goal Lead, Game
The Bullfrogs squandered a three-goal lead as the Ottawa Wheels scored six goals in the second and third quarters to take the lead and win, 8-5, in an Roller Hockey International game Wednesday in Ottawa.
Martin Woods and Robin Bouchard provided the bulk of the offense. Each had three goals to help the Wheels rally from a 4-1 deficit. Mario Therrien and Carl Stewart scored the other goals for the Wheels.
The Wheels improved to 7-6-1 and moved into a tie for third place with the Montreal Roadrunners in the Eastern Conference.
Sean Whyte scored two goals to lead the Bullfrogs. Rick Judson, Chris Newans and Glen Stewart scored the other goals. The Bullfrogs dropped to 8-9 and remain in a third-place tie in the Western Conference.
