El Camino Real 55, Canoga Park 7--The Conquistadores scored on their first seven possessions in building a 49-7 fourth-quarter lead at Canoga Park.
El Camino was finally stopped on the Canoga Park 15. On the first play after the change of possession, El Camino Real linebacker Anthony Thomas recovered a fumble in the end zone for the game’s final score.
El Camino Real’s Quincy Wright rushed for 97 yards in 11 carries, including touchdown runs of 69, five and 11 yards. Fullback DeAngelo Nedd had 118 yards in nine carries. El Camino Real outrushed Canoga Park, 323 yards to 26.
Aaron Fredette completed seven of 10 passes for 98 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Demond Daniels caught one touchdown pass and scored on a 38-yard interception return.
Canoga Park scored on a 66-yard pass play from Robbie Spangle to tight end Mike Shoemaker. The touchdown gave Canoga Park a 7-6 first-quarter lead.
Those were the first points allowed by El Camino Real this year.
