Storr Expected to Get the Start

Share

Although Coach Larry Robinson hinted on Sunday that rookie Jamie Storr will make his second consecutive start in goal tonight in Game 3 after his impressive effort in Game 2’s 2-1 loss, he didn’t rule out from giving the nod to Stephane Fiset, who gave up five goals in Game 1’s 8-3 loss.

“It’s a good chance that [Storr will start] but again, I have confidence in both of my goaltenders,” Robinson said. “We’ll see [at today’s morning skate].”

St. Louis forward Geoff Courtnall praised the play of Storr, who made 25 saves against the Blues on Saturday, but added that the Kings played much better as a team than they did in Game 1.

“He played well, he came in and played solid,” Courtnall said about Storr. “But, obviously he didn’t get tested as much as Fiset did last game.”
