Mark Gleason
Mission Viejo, Senior; Track and Field
Gleason led the Diablos to the boys’ team title at the Orange County Championships Saturday. He won three races and posted the county’s fastest times this season in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters. He won the 1,600 in a personal-best and meet-record time of 4 minutes 14.45 seconds, the 3,200 in a meet-record 9:14.46 and the 800 in 1:55.64.
Pete Montrenes/Baseball/Pitcher
* Ocean View, senior. USC-bound pitcher struck out 10 in his second no-hitter this season, a 4-0 victory over Westminster.
Ryan Moore/Tennis
* Servite, senior. Moore defeated top-seeded Jose Lieberman of Beverly Hills, 6-4, 6-1, in the Ojai interscholastic singles final.
James Thornton/Swimming
* Foothill, senior. Shared swimmer of the meet honors with Santa Margarita’s Frank Uxa at the Foothill Swim Games. Thornton won the 200 freestyle (1:43.63) and 500 freestyle (4.37.20).
