Northridge On Rolle With Signing
The Cal State Northridge men’s basketball team continued to bolster its inside strength by signing 6-foot-7 power forward Hewitt Rolle of Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas.
Rolle, a native of Exuma Island in the Bahamas, averaged 10.2 points and 11.5 rebounds last season, leading Lon Morris to a 17-13 record.
“He is a legitimate power forward who is very strong and aggressive around the basket,” Northridge Coach Bobby Braswell said. “He is a great addition.”
Braswell said Rolle is the last player Northridge will sign.
The signing means power forward Jabari Simmons will not come back for his senior season. Simmons, who averaged 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds, quit the team late last season, but is attending classes at Northridge.
