Spices’ ‘Goodbye’ Gets a Warm Hello
The defection of Ginger Spice hasn’t stopped her former colleagues: The Spice Girls’ first release as a quartet, “Goodbye,” enters the Southern California singles chart at No. 1 (and nationally at No. 4). The post-Ginger slice of girl power is part of a multitrack single that also includes a remake of the Waitresses’ “Christmas Wrapping.” On the album chart, Celine Dion returns to the No. 1 spot that was briefly occupied by KROQ’s annual Christmas charity collection.
