Harbor Commission Selects New President
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners has elected local businessman John W. Hancock as its new president, replacing Carmen O. Perez in an annual rotation of board members.
As president, Hancock will preside over the commission’s weekly meetings, make committee appointments and act as the port’s chief spokesman.
Hancock is president of two Long Beach-based businesses: Bancap Investment Group, a real estate investment and development firm, and Hancock & Associates, a financial and marketing consulting firm.
