History is already on the side of the Utah Jazz, whose players are resting until June 3, the first game of the NBA finals.
In six of the last seven playoffs, the team with the most rest between the conference finals and the NBA finals became the champion.
“Our attitude is that there are only four games left in the season, and we’ve got to make them count,” Utah forward Karl Malone said.
“It’s the attitude that you have to have to play in the finals. We worked our tails off to get back here, but now we have to work some more.”
