Buena 34, Moorpark 13--Freddie Keiaho and D.J. Blackledge combined for 196 yards rushing in the Bulldogs’ victory at Ventura High.

Keiaho, a sophomore coming off an ankle injury, gained 113 yards in 22 carries. Blackledge added 83 yards in 10 carries and scored on a four-yard run late in the third quarter to give the Bulldogs a 27-13 lead.

Kyle Loughman of Buena (7-4) completed 15 of 28 passes for 164 yards and one touchdown. Loughman ran for scores of nine and four yards.

Art Garcia rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown in 12 carries for Moorpark (6-5), which lost its fifth in a row. Mark Gressman completed 12 of 25 for 212 yards, but was sacked seven times.

Buena took a 13-0 lead on a three-yard scoring pass from Loughman to Brandon Faumuina and a nine-yard run by Loughman. Moorpark countered with a score on a 16-yard pass from Gressman to Scott Rollins to cut the deficit to 13-6 at halftime.

Loughman’s four-yard run early in the third quarter put Buena ahead, 20-6.
