The City Council this week awarded a $39,335 contract to Palm John International for 59 Canary Island date palms, which will be planted along Avenida las Palmas, Calle Fortuna and Camino de Estrella. Also awarded was a $56,850 contract to the Soto Co. for six months worth of tree maintenance and to transplant seven mature date palms on Avenida las Palmas. Information: (949) 248-9890.
