Valencia 70, Burbank 7--Manuel White rushed for 274 yards and a career-best seven touchdowns in only 14 carries for the Vikings (6-1, 2-0) at Canyon High.
White scored on runs of one, 80, 19, 11, 51, 19 and four yards in the first half, which ended with Valencia leading, 56-7. He had only two carries in the second half.
Burbank (1-6, 0-2) tied the score, 7-7, on a 75-yard touchdown pass from Romeo Joudi to wide receiver Ray Sanchez early in the first quarter.
Two plays later, White’s 80-yard scoring run put Valencia ahead for good, 13-7.
The Vikings have scored 113 points in the first half of two league games. They defeated Burroughs, 64-8, last week.
Valencia will play Hart with first place at stake Thursday night at College of the Canyons.
