In other Sunset League games:
No. 3 Marina 5, Edison 0--Carrie Hagen had three hits and two RBIs for visiting Marina (18-6, 5-1).
No. 7 Fountain Valley 4, Huntington Beach 1--Inez Vasquez had three hits and two RBIs for visiting Fountain Valley (19-7, 5-1). Pitcher Natalie King (19-6) struck out 11 and had two hits, an RBI and a stolen base for the Barons.
In the Century League:
No. 1 Foothill 2, Villa Park 0--Courtney Fossatti doubled in Autumn Champion in the first and Elizabeth Bendig scored Erin Mobley with a two-out single in the fourth for Foothill (23-2, 6-0). Fossatti (14-1) gave up two hits, struck out nine and walked two.
Canyon 3, Santa Ana Valley 2--Kim Jents’ two-run single in the bottom of the fifth drove in the deciding run for host Canyon (17-9, 4-2).
El Modena 6, Orange 2--Lindsay Klein pitched a complete game six-hitter and singled twice, driving in two runs, for visiting El Modena (16-7-1, 4-2).
In the Empire League:
Century 6, El Dorado 0--Pitcher Nicole Silcox (2-5) pitched a one-hitter with two strikeouts to pick up her second victory for host Century (9-10, 2-4).
In the Freeway League:
Troy 3, Sunny Hills 0--Lindsey Knoff pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and Brenda Beaty singled in the winning run for host Troy (16-6, 4-2).
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 19, Brethren Christian 0 (5, mercy)--Calvary Chapel’s Stephanie Williams pitched a perfect game, striking out five. Jackie Beadle and Erica Greenberg each had four RBIs for the Eagles (11-8, 7-0).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Corona del Mar 5, Laguna Beach 4--Meghan Bunney doubled in the top of the sixth inning to drive in two runs to give Corona del Mar (6-8, 3-3) a 5-3 lead.
Northwood 2, University 0--Freshman Allison Lewis pitched a perfect game with 11 strikeouts for host Northwood (12-2, 6-0). Allyson Pizula and Kimiko Ferrante walked with the bases loaded in the first inning for the Timberwolves.
