Home sales in the massive Talega development took its first baby step Saturday when master planner Talega Associates unveiled its welcome center, 19 model homes and a portion of the development’s 18-hole golf course.

Tours of the clubhouse and recreation center were available at the welcome center, located near the intersection of Camino la Pedriza and Avenida Vista Hermosa, general manager Pat Hayes said.

The 3,510-acre development in the southern side town is the largest ever in the city. It will include an elementary to middle school near Avenida Talega and Hermosa, as well as an office and commercial business park.
