SAN CLEMENTE
Workers will begin correcting erosion problems on the hills of Richard T. Steed Park on Avenida La Pata in about a month. The City Council recently approved a $44,585 contract with San Diego-based American Restoration and Construction Co. to repair damage and prevent further erosion. Park slopes have been eroded in three of the last six storm seasons, according to city reports.
The company also will improve drainage from the softball fields into the existing storm drain system.
