Walk-Run to Benefit University Women Fund
The local branch of the American Assn. of University Women is hosting a walk and run Sunday to benefit the organization’s Eleanor Roosevelt Fund.
The first-time event, themed “Making Strides for Women and Girls,” will raise money for teacher fellowships, research on women and girls and an annual teacher workshop.
Participants can walk or run in a 5K to 10K race that starts at 7 a.m. at the corner of Los Padres and Moorpark roads in Thousand Oaks.
Registration is available the day of the event, and the cost is $25.
