Cruiser Catches a Wave of Relaxation
As a novice reader of the Travel Insider column, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the different places people go to relax and “de-stress” from life’s everyday runaround (“Going Away to a Spot That Soothes the Soul,” Sept. 30).
Here is my way of relaxing, which I have enjoyed six times in the last 21/2 years: Take a cruise.
The Caribbean is my favorite spot to relax on board one of the less “lively” cruise lines, such as Holland America or Celebrity. One can find a nook and just gaze at the bluest waters in the world, or sit in a lounge, sipping a drink or reading a book. Or one can partake in one of many planned activities.
I don’t care to be on a “Fun Ship.” Give me a more refined and quiet ship.
