BART Workers OK Pact With 22% Raise

BART workers have approved a new contract that will give employees a 22% pay raise over six years.
Members of Service Employees International Union Local 790 voted 816 to 161 to approve the agreement, while Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1555 saw a closer vote, 310 to 212. The contract was reached between Bay Area Rapid Transit and the unions two weeks ago.
