Woman Seriously Hurt in Collision With Truck
A 43-year-old Sylmar woman was in serious condition Thursday after her SUV collided with a water utility truck on Foothill Boulevard, authorities said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was pinned inside her vehicle after her car and a Municipal Water District truck collided “nearly head-on” near Balboa Boulevard, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Emergency crews closed both sides of Foothill for nearly an hour after the accident, Humphrey said.
The woman suffered multiple fractures to her left arm and leg, Humphrey said, and was taken to a hospital in Mission Hills.
