Woman Guilty of Blackmail Attempt
From Times Wire Reports
A North Sacramento woman has pleaded no contest to charges that she tried to blackmail eight men into paying her about $500,000 so she wouldn’t report that they had raped her -- a charge she made up.
Jessica Langshaw, 20, pleaded no contest to multiple counts of extortion, filing false police reports and sending threatening letters, prosecutors announced Monday. She had accused each man of sexually assaulting her in separate incidents over 18 months.
