Police Find Missing Boy in Good Condition

A 13-year-old boy with Down’s syndrome who ran away from his parents in Venice on Sunday was found Monday in Koreatown.
“I’m terrified. I’m upset,” said Edgar Acevedo, 40, standing next to his daughter Emery, 13, about his neighbor Derek Clay, 7, who went mission in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles on April 5, 2023. “I’m concerned about his well being. I just want him home,” Acevedo said of his young neighbor who is his friend. Authorities today sought the public’s help to find the 7-year-old boy who went missing overnight from his Arlington Heights home. Clay was last seen about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the courtyard of the apartment complex, pictured, where he lived with his grandfather.

Jonathan Lopez ran away in the 400 block of Ocean Front Walk at about 7 p.m., according to police.
The boy was spotted by a motorcycle officer at about 5:20 p.m. Monday near Western Avenue and Ingraham Street, said LAPD Officer Adriana Sanchez. He was in good condition.
